I apologise, but this is just awful writing ...

"David Bowie told his family that he wanted to be remembered for the good times and his music according to reports coming from New York. The 69-year-old singer died after battling cancer for 18 months. The singer released his final album Blackstar to critical acclaim on Friday, inset. The singer, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer 18 months ago released a photograph of him dressed in a smart suit, seemingly laughing into the face of death."

Did nobody read this before it was published? Why keep repeating 'the singer', 'released' and '18 months', and why write so many short sentences?

"Royal" is not a noun

"Students were stunned to see the Royal in their canteen at break time, after he had landed his helicopter in the school grounds."

What was wrong with "the Prince"?
